Hand Edgers
Heavy duty sander/grinders find a spot in the workplace as power units called edge detailers. Foam removal from inside and outside edges of Structural Insulated Panels (SIPS) is critical to the manufacturing process in terms of accuracy, speed and operator ease. These very special units are constructed for long service life and easy maintenance.

Chase Table
Shown here is the actuator end section of a chase cutting unit undergoing electrification and final assembly. The chase cutter is used on foam blanks prior to lay up. This is where foam of nominal thicknesses is glued, sandwiched between OSB, and pressed to become structural insulated panels for walls and roofs.
Detailer
This heavy-duty central power unit with a 15 hp planer motor provides the 2-axis platform for a precision router head that incorporates drop-in knife holders. These holders are fitted with 2″ planer knives to perform foam removal up to 3″ deep, 4 to 12 inch panels, and 0:0 to 12:12 bevels.
At speeds of up to 30 feet per minute, panels are powered forward by the available overreach drive buggy.
